Terra Nova means “New Earth” or “New Land.” We chose this name because we crave a better story, a more harmonious relationship between people and nature. We long for less speed, green, and extraction, and more peace, green, and connection. We brew our beer and build our taprooms with this in mind, providing a space for people to unwind and connect with nature and community.
Our moss walls are crafted from preserved moss, bringing nature indoors, improving air quality, and reducing noise. These moss walls are made from several types of preserved moss and do not require watering.
Amar Stewart is Creative Director and artist in residence, creating the artwork for the can designs, apparel line, and taproom murals. Amar has been with us from the beginning! Hailing from Leamington Spa originally, Amar thrives on exploring various mediums, from watercolors to oils. His paintings celebrate the intersection of cultures, pay tribute to the roots of hip hop, and create a visual symphony resonating with the soul of our local community. At our Swannanoa taproom, our food partner in residence is Loott House, maker of creative and customizable burgers, salads, and bowls, including various gluten-free and vegetarian options.
At our South Slope taproom in Asheville, our food partner in residence is Mission Pizza. The menu offers pizza, salads, and other Italian-inspired dishes by James Beard-nominated Chef Peyton Smith and his team. Pizza can be made vegan or vegetarian, and other dishes on the menu are gluten-free friendly.
Yes! Supervised kids are welcome. High chairs are available at both locations upon request.

Yes, we have Wi-Fi at both our Swannanoa and South Slope locations. The Wi-Fi password is available from our bartenders.
We love dogs! However, because we have full restaurants in both our taproom locations, dogs are welcome in outdoor, patio, and porch spaces only.
